How to use Quantity Breaks on the product page

Shoppers can buy more of the same product with Quantity Breaks right above Add to cart — for example, 1 at full price, 3 at 15% off, or 5 at 30% off.

Quantity Breaks is a product-page slot in the Upsell.com Flow Builder. You build packs with quantity, discount, titles/labels, and a default selection so shoppers can pick a larger pack in one click.

What you can do

  • Build packs in the Flow Builder on the product page (Quantity Breaks slot)
  • Set quantity, discount, titles/labels, and which pack is selected by default
  • Optionally let shoppers pick a different variant per unit in a multi-pack
  • Keep cart quantity honest: if the shopper changes quantity in the cart, Upsell.com updates or removes the discount so the offer cannot be gamed
  • Build and edit Quantity Breaks by chatting with the AI Bot (see below)

How to set it up

  1. Open the Upsell.com Flow Builder, then open the Product page flow.
  2. Create a slot and choose Quantity Breaks (it sits above Add to cart).
  3. Add your packs: set quantity, discount, title/labels, and which pack is selected by default.
  4. (Optional) Enable the option that lets shoppers pick a different variant per unit.
  5. If needed, enable the Upsell.com app embed so the slot can show on the storefront.
  6. Preview your storefront, confirm packs appear above Add to cart, then go live.

Build and edit Quantity Breaks with the AI Bot

You can also ask the AI Bot to add Quantity Breaks to your product page. Then fine-tune every offer right from the chat.

What you can do with the AI Bot

  • Ask in plain words. "Add quantity breaks to my product page" builds a working block with sensible offers already filled in.
  • Name your own quantities and discounts, and the AI Bot builds the block that way.
  • Choose whether the offer applies to all products or to specific products. The AI Bot asks you.
  • Leave the widget name out if you like. The AI Bot names the widget for you.
  • Edit any offer: add or remove offers, change the quantity, discount type and discount value, and edit the Title, Subtitle and Label.
  • Pick the preselected offer, show or hide an offer, and reorder offers.
  • Rename the section heading and the widget.
  • Work with more than one Quantity Breaks block. The AI Bot tells them apart by their condition name.

How to use it

  1. Open the Upsell.com Flow Builder and click to edit your Product page.
  2. Click the AI icon on the right side of your screen.
  3. Type your request. For example: "Add quantity breaks to my product page."
  4. Check the preview. Your changes show there right away.
  5. Click Save to keep the changes, or Discard to undo them.

Good to know

  • The AI Bot follows the same rules as the editor. That means the maximum number of offers, your store's maximum discount, the same limits on fixed-price discounts, character limits, exactly one default offer, at most one offer with a badge, and at least one offer that always stays.
  • If your request is unclear, the AI Bot asks you which block or offer you mean before it changes anything.
  • If you ask for something it can't do, the AI Bot tells you plainly.
  • Dynamic tags in the Subtitle and Label show their real values in the preview.
  • Changes from the AI Bot go through the normal save flow, the same as changes you make by hand.

Tips

  • Use clear labels so shoppers see the savings at a glance (for example “Best value” on the highest pack).
  • Start with 2–3 packs and check that changing cart quantity still applies the discount correctly.
  • Quantity Breaks is for buying more of the same product. For multi-product offers, use a product upsell or bundle widget instead.
  • In a hurry? Let the AI Bot build the first version, then fine-tune the offers in the chat or in the editor.

Well, that's a wrap!
