# How to set up Upsell.com in one click with the Upsell.com Onboarding Assistant

Install Upsell.com across your purchase flow in a few clicks. The **Upsell.com** **Onboarding Assistant** Chrome extension places the Upsell.com extensions on your pages for you, with no theme-editor work by hand.

## What you can do

- Install Upsell.com on your selected pages in one launch
- Set one **Max discount (%)** for the whole purchase flow, including post-purchase pages
- Leave a page installed but turned off by unchecking it before launch
- Open the Flow Builder afterward to edit or view your offers

## How to set it up

1. **In** **Upsell.com** **onboarding, click Set up via Extension.** This opens the Chrome Web Store listing for the **Upsell.com** **Onboarding Assistant**.

2. **Click Add to Chrome.** On the Chrome Web Store page, click **Add to Chrome**.

3. **Click Add extension.** Confirm the browser prompt by clicking **Add extension**.

4. **Pin the extension (optional but recommended).** Open the browser Extensions menu (puzzle icon). Find **Upsell.com** **Onboarding Assistant** and pin it so it stays visible in the toolbar.

5. **Click Click here to start.** That opens the onboarding sidebar.

6. **Confirm your store, set your max discount, and choose pages.**
- Confirm the selected **Store** is the one you want to install on.
- Set **Max discount (%)**: the most you are willing to offer across the purchase flow, including post-purchase pages (the walkthrough uses **30%**).
- All pages are selected by default. Uncheck any page you do not want turned on (the walkthrough unchecks **Cart page**).

7. **Click Launch.** The extension starts installing page by page.

8. **Let it run, and do not intervene.** It opens the Shopify theme editor and adds the extension in the right spot on each page. Banners shown during install are visible only to you. The process usually takes **30 seconds to 2 minutes**, depending on your internet connection. Do not click around while it runs.

9. **When onboarding is complete, click Go to dashboard.** You can close the extension after this.

10. **Review the success message, then click View dashboard.** Your app dashboard shows exactly what is live.

11. **To edit or view offers (optional), click Edit flows.** This opens the Flow Builder, which includes more help videos.

## What about checkout and unchecked pages?

- **Unchecked pages:** An unchecked page still gets the extension installed. It is just turned off, so you can enable it later. It does not affect your store loading speed or security.
- **Checkout:** Checkout is skipped automatically unless your store is on **Shopify Plus**. Checkout customization is a Shopify Plus-only Shopify limit, not an Upsell.com one. In the sidebar, Checkout may show as **Not available** with a note that your store does not offer this page for editing.

## Tips

- Do not click around while the launch is running. Let the extension finish.
- Prefer to set up a single page or start manually? Use regular onboarding instead: pick the page you want to edit and go through the flow, or start manually.
- After setup, use **Edit flows** in the dashboard to open the Flow Builder and refine your offers.
